Monadh Mor is my local forest, contained within Mullans wood and next to Muckernich wood. It is my local, go to walk. Over the past years the larch trees have reached maturity and been harvested leaving large blocks of young pine trees competing with gorse. It's not what it used to be, when it was fuller it was quieter and the noise from the road traffic was stifled quickly.

Nature was very industrious with dragonflies, butterflies and bees making the most of the good weather. While the deer, tadpoles and livestock seemed more than content to remain stationary and enjoy the heat of the day.

An enjoyable walk and the end of day had one more gift. A heart shaped space between the clouds. I think when you have love in your life you subconsciously look for these little things.
