Zeiss Ikon Colora

I picked up this camera for less than a pound on a popular auction site with a stuck winder. Cosmetically it is in good condition with signs of use around the mount for the lens. Ergonomically this fits my hands well with a nice weight. It also has a label inside which reads, 'Wm.Harold Cox, 29 Wellington St, Tel Luton. 151.' I found an interesting link to a Hertfordshire genealogy site with some information about the previous owner. Since this camera was produced in 1960 and Mr Cox has passed in 1945 I am assuming that his studio 'Ricardo Studios' countinued after his death.

I was hoping the stuck winder was a result of sitting in storage for a length of time. Once I removed the top I could see the grease had indeed solidified and two small pieces of film had jammed between the gears. I think this was the reason it sat unused. After a clean the winding mechanism works and sounds great although sitting cocked for such a long time has caused an issue inside the Pronto shutter which is my next job.
